The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) announces the American Cello Institute, Inc. has been approved for a $50,000 award as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. This grant will support the efforts of the International Chamber Orchestra of Puerto Rico, a project of the American Cello Institute dedicated to connecting children and communities in underserved areas of Puerto Rico with music, the orchestra, and world-renowned artists from diverse nationalities, through free concerts, master classes, and outreach/educational events throughout the island.
